We love dogs. Dogs are not called "a person's best friend" for nothing. Dogs make us happy in more ways than we could count. When they greet us at the door after a long day, wagging their tails so hard from excitement that you think a nearby vase might break. When they're somewhere in the house, and you call their name, and then hear the little tap tap tap on their paws on the floor, coming over to you because they want to be near you. When they act so silly in the dog park, running around with their doggo friends and fetching you the best sticks they could find. Dogs are the absolute best.

We love memes. Memes are the modern jokes around the campfire, passed from generation to generation, kept in a time capsule of language and imagery. Memes are the best way for a person, anywhere in the world, to take a minute to themselves and laugh at something silly another person made. It's shared humor between people that we think is a pillar of our modern society. Sure, not all memes are great, but at least here, in the great Cheezburger network, we never give you memes that are less than the best of the best.

We love dog memes. This is the most pawrfect intersection of two things we greatly love. It's that pawdorable silliness of dogs commemorated in the best humor transactions humanity has ever invented. Dogs give kisses. It's not a thing most animals do, but dogs are known affection showers, especially when it comes to a slobbery doggo kiss. We don't care that people think it's “disgusting” or “unsanitary” - it's absolutely adorable. Nothing will happen to anyone from a dog kiss (apart from being loved).
Dogs are floofy. Yes, this is one of the best reasons to love them. Because they're not just floofy - they also love their floofiness being petted. Petting a dog is the best. It's soft, it's relaxing, and the dogs love it as well. It's symbiotic love that we honestly adore.
